In my last post, I talked about my focusing on and channeling my energy toward keywords, writing them down, and hanging them on my wall for my annual goals. This focus and energy conspire to make things happen, and I don’t share until they are achieved. Well, I achieved another goal, and that was to create and launch my website! In typical Sarah Grote form, I of course was challenged with some technical difficulties and had to learn a lot about the platform, so the website project was tabled while I attended to other priorities. Sometimes my perfectionism makes me stall out and procrastinate, and I’m working on improving that about myself daily. However, over the past few days, I was determined to make headway and was successful. I gained admiration for those who have successfully created their websites, as it is more difficult than it looks on the surface.
I am not sure what took more time: compiling the photos, links, and information, or learning all the functions to develop the website. In some instances, I went on different tangents to find out more information, confirm information about awards and exhibitions, reformat as I understood the formatting more, and look at other sites to see what I’d like to include in mine.
Here is my website if you would like to check it out:
I also realized that a website is never perfect, as growth will make it something always in process as you have more information to share. I know there will be things to improve on but so satisfied to have the foundation completed. If anything, it makes me even more motivated to tackle ways to make it better.
So this is just a quick update, and I am looking forward to sharing more creative news in my next post!
